Several questions.

[Avus E30]

The needle jumps around when im driving around, no real correlation to speeds or outside temp. A good thump on the plastic and itll settle down but eventually itll start to jump again. any ideas?

Also my coolant light on the check panel comes on randomly but the level is full, bad sensor?

And finally i swapped rear decks from the older style to a newer one and my *brake light out* lights up on the check panel as well.

If anyone knows the answers let me know.

Tighten the Ground nut on the back of the guage, You'll have to remove the cluster to do so. It's a prety common problem on the e30's

Check the coolant level sender's plug that it's tight, if it is and the light still comes on randomly the sender is probally bad.

Did you previosely have a Brake light on the deck and removed it? or just changed to the newer style light and deck?

yeah I had a brake light before that was the older style and I replaced it with a grey deck(to new interior colors) and the light wont work with the previous plug, however it fit perfectly...

So it's not plugged in? If so that's why your check brake lights is on, the panel monitors the deck, and both rear lights. You'll need to find plug for the newer light and splice it into your harness
