    Car not running well

Ok my car has been hesitating and missing bad. It doesn't do it after the car sets for a while and it runs fine at first, but after a while of driving then it has no power. It seems to be geting worse. Heres what I have done so far. (Car has 110,000 on the clock)

    Cap
    Rotor
    Plugs
    Coil
    Wires
    TPS
    Fuel Filter

Now i do have a cone filter on the intake. Would this have any affect?

    Heres what im down to.

    Fuel Pump
    Internal/External

    Pressure Regulator
    ?

Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

spending 100$ for diagnostics at your local bmw dealer would have been cheaper than throwing all those parts at it

Well what i thought was a simple tune up turned into more than what i wanted. Closest dealer is about 35 miles away. Car isn't going to get that far.

Did you change anything before it started running bad? What was the last thing you did to your car before you started having the problem? More words are always better than less when you are looking for help.

I've seen bad Speed Reference Sensors do that, after awhile they get hot and start to fail.

Does the Tach just fall when the engine looses power? or does it maintain an indicated RPM?

No I did not change anything on the car before. The only thing i did was the cone filter and that was a month and a half before. Yes the tach drops to about 1800 rpms. The car still runs but no power.

The speed sensor your talking about, is that in the differential?

Speed sensor is in the differential yea. Its a plug on the back of it. If you look at it, its plain as day.

speed sensors causing hesitation, waaaaah? Try your intake boot, or vacuum leaks in general. also, get a manual and a multimeter and start checking things such as your AFM.. i doubt the fuel pump would be the culprit at that low mileage

With the miles i didn't think it would be the pump either. Could it be the regulator? Before I put the TPS on my car had an erratic idle anyhow. THat seemed to take care of it for the most part.

Well all is fixed. It was suprisingly the internal fuel pump. Was completely dead. Beats the crap out of me especially at 110k. It also took care of the hissing sound at the high pressure one outside. Car runs much better.
