water on drivers side floor?

i've searched for an answer on other boards with no luck, so i will try here as well.

after rain, i get some water on my drivers side floow, below the carpet it appears, right around the throttle pedal. the sunroof drains function properly, and the blower motor area drains are clear. it also makes no difference if the car is on any type of slope or incline. this happens when the car is sitting, so its not comming up from the ground.

before i go and rip the car apart again (didnt see anything without ripping carpet up) anyone have any suggestions?

i will check the firewall for signs of dripage from the windshield as well, and i know thats a possibility, just looking for any others.

check on the firewall behind the fusebox. My friends had the same problem, and it was a faily large hole there, that in turn rusted out the area above the clip for the lower dashboard panel on the firewall. It was alot of work to repair it, but it no longer leaks, after alot of cutting and welding.
