    hmmm oil question

    if my car is parked on a slight hill will that cause the engine oil light and the check engine light to go on?


    also the ground bracket in the engine bay on the strut tower that all the ground wires is connected to...if that brakes and i jimmy rig it (temporaril;y) will that cause the check engine light to come on?

    i cant seem to get any codes from the check engine light but its on

    my engine oil light on the check panel is on my ABS light is on and my check engine light is on

    when i turn the key in the on position the check engine light blinks twice and then stays on....i have disconnected the battery but that did nothing...also i havent actually drivin the car in about 25 days since my license is suspended...so maybe it will all work itself out once i start driving her again??????

    check your oil, bet that it'll make your lights go out.....
    jimmy riggen it wont have an effect as long as its grounded good, only problem is it won't last, and could come apart at anytime.....

      Bad grounds can cause all of the above. If your oil is full then I would try to get those grounds fixed asap.

      And BTW, 'blinks twice' is your check engine code. Look for 2 flashes under motronic 1.1. I don't have the chart in front of me. Only later cars do the gas pedal trick.

        ofcourse i've checked the oil lol it does seem to be losing oil i dont know if its leaking it or burning it but if i run the car until it warms up then shut it off and open the oil cap slight smoke comes out of the valve cover is this a sign of burning oil or is it normal?

        also would parking on a hill have an effect on the engine oil light? ive heard it does but im not positive...it seems to happen whenever i park on a slant or a hill...also the abs light didnt go on until i slammed on my brakes a little while ago...that was After the ground bracket broke...but im getting a new bracket on saturday so hopefully that will fix some of these problems... i also think im in need of a valve adjustment what do you guys think?
