The 200 cell cat and magnaflow resonator should go in early next week and then the car will be dyno ready. so i'm hoping to get a dyno soon after. I cannot give my driving impressions yet b/c i have not driven the car but I will give my results once it comes out of the exhaust shop. more updates coming soon...
So, seriously, you're just randomly throwing shit against the wall, aren't you?

This is the first time I've read through this thread, and, now, I'm kind of ashamed be a member of this forum. It's sad to see e30 owners treat each other with such malice and disrespect. It's easy to be a critic. It's not so easy to go against the grain and try something different. So, maybe his car will suck when all is said and done. Let's just encourage him and take a wait and see approach. I, for one, am glad he's doing it. It's always helpful to see others projects and results no matter what they are. They might just save someone time and money down the road. In many instances, you never know what will work until it is proven or disproven. Cut the guy some slack because he dares to be different, even if he may be wrong.

I'll admit that sometimes we can get a little carried away when flaming people.

            ...but

Putting an Viper engine into an E30, that would be different whether it's possible or not, this is just plain idiotic.

Plus he's breaking all his own rules so I have no sympathy for him.

              Read the thread again.

The gist of it is not just the crap "mods" he has assembled, but the lack of any testing to show what, if any, gains they produce.

Look at GrassRoots Motorsports - when they have a project car and start bolting on stuff, they dyno it after each item. The recent Nissan SE-R comes to mind - the article had several items that were each put on and dyno tested individually.

But putting it all on and then testing means nothing. There is no baseline and no comparison for each "mod".

wait, being cheap, doing shit wrong, using ebay parts, and claiming he'll change the world is being different? And you're glad? I'm kind of ashamed you're a member too....

come on, the only thing worse than the grief we're giving this monkey is the bullshit he's spouting in his own defense...

Me too. The shame of seeing what the guy has done to an otherwise decent car. Did you really check out all the stuff he has done?

He gets positive feedback on other forums. After damn near 500 posts on this, can't you see the pure entertainment value?

Face it, his car has unverified performance, questionable mods, and is bordering on unsafe.
