Speedometer doesn't work

Hello so this might be something simple but on my s50 swapped car the speedometer will only work after driving for a bit.
Usually kicks in on the highway.

Is it a lose connection possibly?

speedo may be sticking

check the sensor in the diff cover. The connection may be loose or possibly the sensor itself could be loose in the housing.

I've got this problem too, speedo works only randomly, and never when the car is first started. It usually comes on when I hit a bump or randomly on the highway. Let me know what you find.

I ended up replacing the speedometer to solve this problem.
