This has not been my month. So far my winter car's battery went totally dead from a short in a previously installed Viper alarm system (which I was unaware of until I found the control module), and on the e30 side of things the heat sucks, a tire blew out on my way to work (fixed), my trunk lock got stuck open (fixed), and now this; since my truck was stuck open I removed the bulb from the light to keep from killing the battery. While pushing the light fixture back into the trunk lid it shorted & now my tach, clock, interior lights, radio, trunk light, and windshield washer pump all don't work anymore. Naturally the first thing I did was check all the associated fuses and found nothing blown, I did find that there was one fuse (#10 iirc) that was listed as a 7.5 in my manual, and what was in the fuse block was a 10, so I replaced it with the correct one. At this point I'm a bit stumped. most of these systems share 1 or more fuses in the block, so that seems like the obvious solution, but I looked thought all the fuses twice and didn't find a blown one. What's the next step in trouble shooting this? Why does my e30 hate me so much right now?
