anyone have any experience with msds headers?

i will be getting a custom exhaust fabbed up soon, its a christmas present from my dad, so i figured i may as well get a new cat since mine is on the way out. but the 318's downpipe and cat is all one assembly, and there is no way i am going to buy an oem one. so i figured thta now would be the best time to put on a header if i ever wanted to, and then just get the exhaust fabbed up from the header back.

the msds one is really cheap ( $140 ) so i am wondering if anyone has any experience with them, their flow, build quality, ect. i know they make an m20 that ireland resells. also should i spend the extra cash for nickel or ceramic coating?

I didn't realize they made headers for the m10, interesting. And cheap, you should be the guinea pig!

I don't see the point of putting headers on an engine developing a whoopin 100hp.

i have no direct experience with their products either, but if i were getting a free exhaust out of xmas then i would do it- $140 is cheap.

get the header first, in fact, so you can find out what the outlet size is and match the cat and exhaust to it.

obviously you didnt read then, i am not buying them for the performance gain. i am buying them to make the exhaust fabrication easier and because my factory manifold is all rusty

Do you have a website to this header/downpipe link. I am getting ready to need one myself.

Tell that to the series 1 Gti boys. A euro manifold or a Techtonics Tuning Header mad a big differance with a complete system. You gained on average 13 hp.

msds.com i think... and tehir welds suck, you have to grind down their welds to fit the nut on properly... so don't coat them til you're sure they seat right... other than that, will they pass smog?
