What size socket for removing steering wheel?

Just a quick question. What size socket do I need for removing the steering wheel?

OR, a 22mm with a short extension- works for me! :)

Q: My wheel is centering upside down. Can I correct this by removing the wheel and rotating it, or do I have to take the linkage apart?

            just pull the wheel.

keep the key out so steering lock helps you untorque it
back the nut off almost all the way
put the key in the ignition
pull the wheel loose and keep the nut in so the wheel doesn't hit you in the face
            take off the nut

remember to do this all when you know the wheels are perfectly forward

Why should I put the key in the ignition?

BTW, I have the sport wheel that came with 88 iX's.

Before moving the steering wheel I'd pull back the boots on the inner tie rods and center the rack. Then center the steering wheel, if needed. If the car then drives with the wheel off center the tie rods need to be adjusted for correct toe while the wheel is centered.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
