    OBC - MPG vs M/G

So on the e30 OBC you can toggle between liters per gallon and miles per gallon which are reflected by LPG and MPG.

What is the M/G number and what does it stand for? The M/G is always consistently higher than the MPG number

If you are talking about the difference between what the OBC MPG reading and the econometer readings you need to know that the econometer is driven only by injector on time. The OBC is using distance covered, fuel used, and rate of use (injector on time) and its display is time averaged. So the numbers will be different between the two instruments.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

No, he is referring to the OBC when you hit "set" while you are in the fuel economy display mode to cycle between units/languages. It will cycle between L/100km, M/G and MPG. M/G indicates imperial miles per gallon, MPG indicates US miles per gallon.
