Repairing rear window defog tabs

Has anyone ever tried, and had success in re securing the two tabs which rear window defroster has and actually got it to work?
I pulled a rear window out with tint but they weren't even attached to the window.

I tried fixing a line once with that crap they claim works to repair the connection. didn't work to well.

Anyone?

Use a file and shave some copper wire. Mix the copper powder with superglue and glue the tabs back onto the window.
