Low idle.........................

I read a lot of guys speak of high idle. Can I get some causes and cures for low idle. My idle is steady at 450 to 500. It may increase to 550 with the a/c on. Trying to post this between locating parking spaces at the mall. (Xmas shopping) Do not have time to do a search right now. Thanks.
