What do these go to? Need Help ASAP

    Hey,

I went to go look at another e30. '88 BMW 325e. It sat in a garage for 7 years, and it has been repainted. Original color is lachsilber, not its gray with some navy blue clear coat.

I looked in the bay and there were things I didn't know about. One was by the fuse box. The other one is a hose disconnected.

    Randome Hose:

What do these go to? I would like to know before I go and buy the car because my dad is sold...and he doesn't know much about it.

    Thanks, any help is appreciated.

wiring you would need to chase down and see where it goes, could well be non stock going to an alarm or a stereo of some sorts. Hose appears to be the one going to the overflow bottle that would mount on the shock tower. if this is missing, the cooling system is compromised and is not safe to drive at present time. Could also be a plugged off hose for the above mentioned reservoir, albeit in an 88 plugged off to use an early model water pump.

Check for overflow reservoir, will be either on pass side shock tower, or drivers side above the ABS unit. one must be in place there, or there are issues. post full underhood shots for more assistance if needed

Those wires are non-stock and you'll have to follow them to see what they power.

The plugged hose looks to part of the throttle body heater.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Its on pass side above the AC compressor, right where the outlet is on the W/P for the early model overflow.

Looks like someone cheaped out and got the wrong pump. late model pumps do not have this outlet.

Heat lines to the throttle body come off the tstat housing on the other side of the motor

Correct, I should have caught that it was the compressor below the t-stat housing.
