HVAC - Replaced blower motor, still no heat

    Hi,

This is my first post here, as well as my first BMW. I have a 1987 BMW 325i (VIN says it's an E, but it's the 2.5L motor, I'm sure of it. Swap happened somewhere down the line).

When I bought it the blower motor was shot. I replaced it with a used one that blows good and hard. When I had it all apart I was sure to clean out the housing and got all the dirt and leaves and whatnot that had collected in there. When I put everything back together, I warmed the car up to operating temperature and still not a drop a heat comes out the vents. I've looked around for leaks and saw none, but I am rather ignorant in this area and I'm not so sure what to look for.

Not sure if this matters, but the lines from the AC compressor had but cut by the previous owner. Originally it didn't matter to me as I'm a windows down type of guy

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If the FAN is working/blowing...then you need to check the following...its not complicated.

    a) is the heater core getting heat? are the heater lines TO/FROM the heater at the firewall HOT?
    b) is the heater control valve working or is it not letting hot coolant circulate?
    c) is the heater core clogged?
    d) are the vents open to let the fan / air through?

AC lines have nothing to do with HEAT.
