Anyone have experience with MaxSil pistons/other engine stuff?

When it comes to engine internals, we have for pistons:
    • Wiseco: Seem to hear good things about them, nothing bad thus far. Seem to be the pistons of choice of TMS, Metric Mechanic, VAC Motorsport and the like.
    • Mahle: Don't know much about them. They OEM?
    • JE Forged: Jordan didn't seem to have the best experience with these, but do the Total Seal rings work with only JE Forged? Are Total Seal rings really that pimp?
    • MaxSil: Not a damn thing in the search engines about these, even though Bavarian Auto Recycling advertises on R3V... hmm... people either seem to praise or hate their engines.
    Then there are connecting rods:
    • Arrow: Heard good things from various venders.
    • Pauter: Their 4340 poly rods seem to be the shiznet for FI applications, but you get hit with the price.
    • MM Home Made lightened OEM rods: makes me a little wary, although the price is nice. Korman does something similar, but I think Korman is just too over priced to consider now-a-days.
I'm looking for lightweight components to cut down on reciprocating mass and make the engine rev like an absolute monster... that seems to be the premise of the MM engines when I talked to Jim awhile back. Cut down on rotating weight, make the engine breath and exhale better, give the engine the fuel supply it needs and you'll get a screamer.

Any input from you smart people?

    Thanks
    Jared

Mahle makes some good stuff. They're common among Porsche 928s (and maybe others)

JE = Weisco, Weisco = JE.

Pauter rods are great, he is a friend of mine. Great product. :)

I got the MaxSil pistons, and haven't had any complaints. They are a very cheap and economical alternative to the others, but I doubt they'd suffice for forged pistons in a highly stressed engine. Forged pistons are usually heavier, so it's a bit of a toss up between strength and weight.
