I locked my driver side door yesterday which I don't normally do because I was in town. Central locking didn't lock the passenger side so I had to do that one too. When I got back I tried to unlock my door and it wouldn't open. It will not open from the inside either. I have tried using the central locking from trunk and pass side door but no luck. I searched it and it appears I double locked it. I sprayed DW40 in the lock and wiggled the key around trying to open it for around 10 minutes but no luck. Can I keep trying to wiggle it around or will can I slim jim it? I am not going to tear the door apart and put in a new lock. Ideas?

Well he cant do that inexpensive repair unless he gets the door unlocked first, and if he dosnt use the locks well than for him it makes no difference.
I assume the cylinder in the door is in the horizontal (-) posistion thus the driver door is truly double locked?
Right now id say keep at it with wd40, maybe give the cylinder a few light taps with something to see if you can free things up.

Same thing happened to me when I used a duplicated key to lock the driver door. The cylinder was in the horizontal position and for the life of me I could not unlock the double-lock. Fortunately, when I used the original BMW key, it unlocked just fine. I did spray WD-40 into all the locks and the duplicate key is working just fine. I did have to file down one of the notches on the duplicate key to have a perfect pattern match.
