Alternator

Help, my alternator doesn't spin and the belt doesn't move. Im assuming this means my alternator is dead. If so, does anyone have an alternator for a '91 318is?

your alternator doesn't spin? they still spin when they're dead... can you spin it with your hand? or is the belt slipping?

Take it out and pull the voltage regulator, maybe, just maybe one of the brushes has broken off and gotten jammed in the works.

you would think atleast the belt would be moving, or snap or burn up or something... odd
