Puddle of gas under my car.

What's up amigos, got a bunch of gas under my car. Coming off of the top of the tank, running down the side of it and off of the right rocker panel. Car was parked at an angle. What's the plan - repair or replace, and how hard is it to get the tank out?

Edit : full tank of gas.

Pretty sure it's rusted out on top.

I've played this game. Pull your rear seat. Find the hatch on the passenger side and open it up. You will find the fuel sender and in tank pump. Odds are either one of the small fuel lines died, or the sender has worked loose. Mine did this when I first bought the car. Check to make sure you have a good gasket under the sender and make sure its tight. You might not need a new tank. Check your hoses and hose clamps. I bet you will find something is just loose or a hose is cracked.

Thanks for the tip, just went out and did this. Couldn't find anything at first but I put the car back on the tilt on the side of the road and noticed some leakage. The pipe for the 'big hose' is rusted, I think it's probably the return....anyway it's the one that's not connected directly to the top of the fuel pump, but it has its own pipe coming off of the top of the tank.

The pipe that comes out of the tank is rusted, and the hose is cracked and generally old looking. Thinking I need to get a new hose, treat the rust, and see if that works.

Don't forget to also check the filler hose.

You will also want to check the lines that run to the filter in front of the driver's rear wheel. That line also weathers quickly due to it's location.
