    speed sensor plug

so my speedometer cut out and i got under there to investigate. Turns out the plug that goes into the sensor was pretty much disintegrated and the wires were dangling. is part #5 the correct part I need for this? it appears the plug is made up of two parts, the plug housing and then 2 individual "wire holders" any idea on part numbers?

mine was destroyed as well. so what i did was use new wire all the way from inside the car under the rear seat (had too make sure i got rid of the bad part of the wire as it wasn't obvious where it was)
i used this type of connector http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103507
on the dark red piece, remove the red part and the metal connector will fit onto your speed sensor. put on the connecting (pink) piece and then use another red piece to crimp the new wire and plug it in.
i hope you understand what i'm describing.

the ones i bought from radio shack were green and blue. those are the correct size for the speed sensor.

If the wiring is fine, just buy the plug. I think it is number 5, i'll try to confirm though.

I bought some a while back myself.

the wiring is fine, and part #5 is fine too, but it appears there are two connectors that fit into #5 that are female pieces that actually receive the speed sensor leads...its such a pain in the ass to find plug p/n's on realoem though

aren't the two leads part of the wire though? so to buy them you'd need to buy the entire wire.
