    Service Interval Lights

I installed my odometer gears today and I'm 99% sure everything is plugged in correctly.

But are the green service interval lights suppose to be on?

When I took my dash apart, just the yellow light stayed illuminated while driving. Now 4 of the green lLED's are lit after reinstalling my gauge cluster. It shouldn't have reset my service intervals takign it out should it?

Also before when rest the green lights would only pop up in position 1, and once the car was started it they would go off (unless red or green). Now they are on constantly... what did I do/ didn't do?

When you took the cluster out to replace the gears the SI board lost un-switched power. That can be enough to push aged batteries over the edge and cause the current symptoms. If the batteries on the SI board haven't leaked, they can be replaced.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

My econkmeter doesnt work either. It stuck on 40+mpg. I ran my carat WOT and the light went off but the econometer still not working. I have an extra SI board I may try to swap em. How do I replace the batt if need be?

The batteries are soldered in, so it is a bit of work to change them. But if examination of the board shows any leakage from the batteries, don't bother.

If no leakage is observed, you can bring your SI board to Batteries Plus and they can replace the batteries for about $10. Otherwise, a replacement board will run you about $130 - $160 (made by Programma). You can post in this forum for working SI boards too...not new and expect to pay about $65.
