Hard knock from the rear right.Need advise please!

Well, this tube (I believe its the fuel line going to the tank) got somehow loose and its banging against the chassis over bumps. :x
I m talking about a very small gap, less than 0.5 in but when I hit it against the chassis it makes a loud noise probably cos the empty trunk acts like an amplifier I guess.
Anyone else with this problem? How can I fix it?
Sorry if this a noob question.

It's not attached at one of the ends? Reattach it and use nice t-bolt hose clamps :p maybe a zip tie or two

Well,I did check under the car and made sure the fuel line was secured.
The hard knock was still there like coming from the trunk.
Then I noticed that the trunk was damaged right where the arrow is.

To be precise the damage was on the right side on the inside.
Its like it was hammered and the surface has chipped paint and it s
now somehow level rather than a part of a circle.
Hope I m making sense.Any ideas about how I could check or adjust this?

      PS.No,It wasnt this.

Oh,fuck it.I ve been to a shop or two and mechanic pointed out that its coming from my rear right suspension.Mind you,I ve had both rear Bilstein shock absorbers serviced and upgraded (chanced o rings and ended up more progressive in rebound) 3 months ago.
So,I ll check out the shop that did them on Monday.

I dont know though. Can a bad shock absorber make such a noise?
Its like there s metal on metal when its fully depressed.
Its a dry bang.Like a metallic object loose in the trunk.
        Also no visible oil leak.

This one is covered! I installed a side metal tab
allowing almost no movement to the muffler.
Also it comes only when the rear right wheel
goes over potholes with more than 20mph!
And you can tell its coming from the right rear of the car.

                Seemed fine upon inspection.

Not sure on the E30, but on many other cars there is a rubber bushing that helps absorb the shock. Missing this rubber bushing will result in loud clanking noise every time the strut goes up and down.

Clank to thump, depending on the condition of the shock.

I just changed the rear shock mounts and all noise went away!
The biggest bonus was the satisfaction of doing this on my own!
