    help! windows wont go up

hey guys, i pull the dash out of my car in preparation for my roll cage, now my windows wont go up! my car is an 84 318. i cant seem to figure out if my car has the window circuit breaker or not, ive never seen it, or is there a a fuse or a relay i can check? i need to figure this out asap, because i have to drive my car to school tonight, and both of my windows are down.

    thanks guys

Also the switch that locks the windows so the switches don't work if that is unplugged they won't go up or down. Just another thing to check.

my car doesnt have that option
i change k5 and k7 and fuse 17 is fine, but i think thats only for late model cars. my owners manual doesnt even give a location for the windows, nor does the car seem to have a window circuit breaker. i completely pulled out my ac/heat unit, could that be the problem?

The circuit breaker switch in the early 83/84 cars was in the dash next to the hazard button, not on the console. You probably removed it with the dash.

it must be a 325 thing then, cause my car doesnt have a circuit breaker on the dash or on the console, i pulled all the switches out before removing the dash, and there was no circuit breaker. maybe the early 318s didnt come with them? i know what they look like but ive never seen it

cut the window wires and jump each wire to a battery + and -. window should go up or down. if it doesn't go up or down your window motor is toast

yes you can manually do it, the door card should have a little round cover, i can't remember which bit but its a star bit that will fit and let you roll it up and down
