    BBS RX P215/40 ZR17 –Help/Suggestions

Prior to asking all for advice – I will like to clarify - to all - I am a complete noob.

    I have 1990 325i
    H&R sport cup kit
    BBS RX wheels P215/40 ZR17

My problem is uneven tire wear (as all would expect without a correction kit/modification). I have PM’d multiple forks online here asking advise/questions (if you are one of those reading now – thanks again for your time and help) but now I figured to go ahead and ask all for advice. Here is my situation/questions.
I plan to drive this car across country in the near future – I have decided not to drive it so low considering I might damage something (or just oil pan) and wear out my tires completely - and have since been thinking to raise the vehicle. My question is: if I go back to stock springs (any – ‘is’ ‘i’ ‘m3’ ‘e’) how bad will an e30 look considering the size of these wheels/tires w/OEM springs? (I did find one good example but later I noticed it was an ix – not sure if that makes a difference?) And can I even put OEM springs back onto this kit?
Or – can I just downgrade from the cup kit series and buy the touring kit/any other kit (or just springs - anything) to make it ‘not so low’ while minimizing this tire wear (almost completely) and having it also look notably decent. I have found e30’s that look great with 17’s that are not as low as mine. Though I am completely satisfied with the way my car looks with these wheels/kit – but again, I have to drive it across country with belongings and I’m sure at this point I’ll wear these tires out completely and/or damage something (Georgia to California if anyone is wondering…).
Basically - I need advice on what options I have for springs/kits/anything/ to allow minimal tire wear for this journey without suffering the looks of my car with these wheels. I’m willing to change tire size and obviously springs, but not the wheels – I love these things….
Thanks in advance for all willing to help/give advice.

After installing your lowering springs, did you ever go in to get a proper alignment done? As far as I know camber doesn't cause irregular tire wear. It's usually an excessive amount of toe in or out.

Regarding whether or not your wheels would look okay if you returned the car back to stock is a matter of opinion. At stock ride height I personally think any amount of poke looks rediculously dumb. If you gave the full wheel specs I'm sure people would be able to help you on how it would look at stock ride height.

Camber, or lack of, can definitely cause uneven tire wear. Impropper toe out can do so as well.

First OP, can you give us a picture of the tires, or what exactly you mean when you say "uneven wear?" Most times the type of tire wear will point to what is causing the problem. And before anything I would try an alignment, that could very easily be your issue.
