    Need help with window glass

I've already checked and there's nothing that really helps on replacing the window. I'm replacing the passenger window and I'm having troubles. I have a SETA with POWER WINDOWS and the window clamp is the two 10mm bolt style. There are apparently two different types one with the slider on the part of the window towards the rear of the car and there's this bolt-on clamp. Here's the part I'm confused about though, the glass with the slider is completely flat like this

but witht the bolt style the glass dips down close to where the mirror is like this

is the glass with the dip the correct one because I've already bought one and it turned out it has the roller bracket not the bolt on bracket. Also could I just use the one with the slider by taking my previous one and replacing the roller clamp with it? I've tried removing the roller clamp and it would not budge and I'm afraid of breaking something. Any help there would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and my previous window was smashed to hell so there really was no way of checking that way.

The window you are replacing was broken, would it clear anything up if you pulled off door panel on the opposite side to compare?

Your depictions hurt my head. But you will not be able to remove and switch the brackets. The glass will break.

The window you have pictured above is not from an e30. The lower is for an early model, up to 88. It is possible that doors or internals could be switched or vary as it sounds like your car is an 88 (seta) as that is the switch over year.

Here is a picture of one of my new oem windows. Early model, up to 88.

I think you have a late model window. Pictures of what YOU have would be better than random internet pictures.
