Slide Throttle intakes?

tehy use slide throttle carbs on RC nitro engines all the time, the pro drivers say they give better throttle response and better throttle control. ive thought of doing this before, but never to this extent

Ya My Kyosho V-one S RC car had a Sldie carb on it, Little harder for intial tuning, but seemed to run a lot better.

For engines who have the coolant come up and tie into the TB housing, what would you do? Just cap it off?
