Small Fuel line bracket. Where's it go?

Posted this in ix sub forum..
Any help appreciated. My OCD won't let me just put it any ol place.

Im an idiot, I took things apart to clean injectors, mani, tb, etc and didn't take pictures before hand. Now months later on reassembly I cannot figure out where this piece connects to. I've looked and looked. Its on the fuel diagram part 18. It's got wear marks around the bolt/stud hole that would seem it was fastened without a washer. Car's an 88 ix and I took it off so whatever it was connected to should still be there. I hate to guess and just stick it some place.
If it matters my car has the fuel rail with the inlet on the firewall side and the return out near the thermostat.

Bumpidy. Someone's got to have one of these on their car... I looked on a 91 ix and actually couldn't find it. Don't know if that's because in 20+ years it's been removed, broke, or if later years didn't get this? :loco:

can you follow the lines back down to the filter and frame rail and look for an appropriate spot. You'll probably find it goes somewhere on the metal bracket that holds the coolant hose and main wiring harness in front of the starter.

Possibly on one of the valve cover studs? Just a guess as I'm not familiar with iX's.

I did exactly.. well mostly this.
I had the fuel lines off too so not sure on exact routing.
The metal bracket though that you mention, I couldn't find a spot where it'd sit flat on there (where there's bolt holes there's a small lip where the metal is stamped)

I've traced the lines all the way back to where the soft lines hook to the hard lines on the driver side frame rail. Nothing jumps out at me.

Good suggestion. It could only go on the stud closest to the firewall.. I've just checked. Looks like it'd fit, though with the slant on the end it'd kind stick out at a funky angle. I'll keep this idea though as a valid solution.

Anyone seen something like this stuck to the driverside stud closest to the firewall on the valve cover?
