So i had a very rusty output flange on a diff that i purchased, so i bought some CLR figuring it would help eat the rust. I let it sit for about an hour or so in the CLR. Now its kind of a grey color, used to be shiny silver. The color does not bother me i just want to make sure that it will still seal against the diff well. The part that rubs against the seal shows no damage just discoloration it is kind of a flat grey. Let me know if you guys have any input.
