    84 cluster issue

Ok so I deleted my si board and did the jumper wire and my gauges work. Cleaned my grounds and I'm still driving down the road and my mph and tach are still intermittently dying. If I give the dash a slap they come back. So I need some advice to where I can start checking for connections when I pull the cluster tonight to sort this out. Thanks again.

C2 #16 is the common ground. It is a brown wire. It grounds at G200. They don't have a common power source so I don't think that that would be the culprit.

I told you everything you need to know.

check the two connectors at the back of the instrument cluster. one of them will have a brown wire on pin 16. that should be grounded. check continuity to the body.
