Error code 1261

I recently performed the stomp test and I'm receiving that error (1261). Also, my engine hesitates sometimes going full throttle. Could this be part of the issue as well and how would I go about fixing this?

1261 Fuel Pump Relay Control
This code is generated when there is a break or ground fault in the
circuitry associated with the DME fuel pump relay. Check pin #3 of the
DME or the output stage in the DME (DME version M1.3 only).

While that code could be associated with the hesitation, I'd be more inclined to suspect intake leaks or a problem with the AFM.
