OK so heres the deal. Im doing the 2.7i motronic 1.3 upgrade on an 85 with a rectangular c101. Ill be using a circular c101 and engine harness. Therefore, I am building an adapter. I have a 1990 c101 from the fusebox for adapting it. Let me put it this way..
85 rectangular c101 -> 1990 circular c101 -> circular c101 engine harness
I have everything connected properly from the main thread, which was pretty simple. I completed this, no problem- http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...bmwdiagram.jpg There are no extra wires from my 85 rectangular c101.
However, I have a 7 extra wires on the 1990 c101, 2 I dont need. Such as..
Pin # || Purpose
8 - Econometer (MPG)
9 - RPM (to cluster)
12 - Check engine light
14 - VSS (from cluster)
15 - Unloader relay
Unused..
16 - SRS
20 - ABS Relay (1990+ cars and ix?)
So my question is, what do I do with these wires? Do I need to run them to the cluster, or are they already included on the engine harness?
