    Electrical Issue Help

What would cause the head unit and check panel and lights to remain on AFTER the key is out of the ignition.

Ignition switch was taken down and replaced. Testing through the switch, same problem exists.

Easiest way to narrow that down is pull fuses (except for the headunit and check control) until they shut off.

That suggests that something is providing power to the Acc circuit other than the ignition switch.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I want to see a pic/diagram/detail of the deck wiring, even if it is stock.

Ok, just for a laugh, turn your hazard lights on. See if the radio turns off.

Some eveil (insert "Thriller" laugh here) hackery has happened behind many a stock deck.

AFAIK, (too little time to look at diagram right now) the check panel is powered by the same branch of the ignition circuit as the deck. Some retarded PO hackery would cause that...possibly.

I was the previous owner :-(... Actually I've owned the car twice and it was under Korman care for 20 years before that. I think it's the lack of hackery...

Anyway, traced everything to the light switch. I'll replace it with another one just for the hell of it, so I can rule it out.
