    Removing brake switch

I have an issue with the brake light on my OBC staying on. All the bulbs have been changed (including the 3rd brake light) as well as the sockets. I read that if all this is done it may be the switch at the pedal. Since the light stays on until the pedal is depressed the first time I am thinking this may be it. How does the switch come off? I got the connector off but don't know how to get it off the bracket

The light goes off as soon as you step on the brakes?

    Normal operation.

I kinda worded that wrong. My light in the check panel stays on 24/7. I know its suppose to go off when I hit the brakes but doesn't. I actually replaced the brake switche, All the taillight bulbs, cleaned the sockets for the bulbs, replaced the 3rd tail light, cleaned the connectors for the 3rd brake light, and replaced the brake light panels with ones off another car. Still stays on....

Pull it from one side, say left-to-right, and pop out one side of the bracket. You may need a screwdriver to push down on the teeth in front of the bracket. I had to really pull hard but it came out just fine.
