Door Locks??????

    Door Locks??????

    my car got hit in the left rear quarter panel and all the locks stopped working. does anybody know why this happened and how i could fix it?

    I would check the plug and the harness between the drivers door and the door jamb, if that looks ok, then check the door lock module and rollover relay behind the drivers side kick pannel under the speeaker.

          Odds are the lock actuator harness for the fuel filler door got shorted if the hit was substantial enough.

            the harness is on the left side? which harness is it because there is more than one harness

              isnt there a function in the central locking system that OPENS the doors in the event of a collision? if this is the case, it has most likely been activated, and needs to be replaced.
              I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...

                There is, and it is possible it's been tripped.... but most of the cars I have seen with that tripped are cars where door locks are no longer a concern. It usually takes a hell of a whack.
