black starter wire. where does it go?

The I harness has 3 started wires. I need to know where the black one goes.

One of the three posts... ;)

there should be a black/yellow one and a black/green one.

If your starter posts look like this:

....0
0......0
....0

I'd try putting the black green at the top, the black yellow at the bottom, and the battery to the driver's side.

It'd help to have the year, and which "i" you're talking about... 318, or 325?

If the wire is just black, put the smallest gauge wire on the top post, medium on the bottom, and battery to the driverside post.
