    A/C replacement

I don't want to spend the shit tons of money that comes with a conversion to r-134, I think it was on r3v I heard about a viable straight replacement refrigerant for R12 called Freeze-12 I believe. I tried searching but I believe it was mentioned in passing and was not the topic of the thread

Does anyone have any more information on this?

I've had good results with Freeze-12.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

What is the process in putting it in the system, any different fittings and what not?

i just redid my ac with r12. i bought 3 cans of r12 on craigslist. rented the vacuum pump and gauges and also replaced the receiver drier. i ran vacuum for 30 mins and then let it sit with no leaks. i've heard mixed opinions about freeze 12. if you can do it your self i would probably stick with r12 and if the system is in good shape. if your gonna tare the whole thing apart i would change to r134a.
