Car dies when I give it gas

I have done searches and can't find what I am looking for.

Car rarely gets driven. Went to start it and it idles but as soon as I give it gas it dies.

Changed the fuel filter and pump cause they were both old. Still same problem, it will idle, a little low, sometimes sputter, but when I give it any amount of gas it dies.

Suggestions? I didn't replace the fuel pressure regulator.

    Thanks in advance ;)

We can delete this thread. figured out what the issue was/ is

    MAF.

When I unplugged it the car died, but started it back up with it still unplugged and when I plug the MAF back in the car was finally able to be r3ved up and driven.

    :D

also check for a massive vac leak, the MAF might be okay.

edit: i mean before the throttle body.
