Make sure your engine is running tip top before you start to change things. These cars are old, the newest e30 m20 is 14 years old, chances are there might be a few things that need attention. I'd suggest at the very least a tune up, change all the filters (air and fuel), oil, spark plugs, make sure all your vacuum lines are sealed and not leaking. Analyzing the spark plugs before and after the chip might tell you if you need new injectors. Honestly though, I dont think new injectors are necessary on a stock motor with a chip. When you start adding cams, strokers, etc etc, fuel demands go up. Just a chip, I wouldnt bother.
In my opinion, the best mod to do in conjunction with a Mark D chip on a good running motor is a clean air filter, and lots of premium gas.
The thing is that my injectors are clicking now and i want to replace them anyway so what's the best way to go? Because i know i'm gonna do some more modding very soon so i was just keeping this in mind.
