Strange thing happened the other day with my door locks. Maybe some can shed some light...
I drive to work, park, leave my keys in the ignition, and go inside. The car is unlocked w/ the windows up. I come out at lunch and find all my doors locked as well as the trunk and the keys are in the ignition. Sweet, I only have one set of keys
(AAA to the rescue).
Question is, how can the doors and trunk lock without using the key on the outside of the door? Everything was locked and the keys were still in the ignition.
I did some experimenting afterwards - long story short, I determined that the only way seems to be to lock the doors from the outside with the keys - end of story. That being said, how can everything get locked while the keys are still in the ignition? Perhaps I'm missing something? TIA
