Sounds like the alternato/charging circuit is no worky

I would pull the alternator and take it to autozone and get it tested. I have one for sale, if you end up needing a new one.

i got a new one and its still not working. i think its not charging the battery. i think its something electrical because it keeps blowing my stereo's fuse. (not the fuse for the actual radio but the fuse in the fusebox)

Are the connections to it right? Are your battery terminals really tight on the battery?

Do you have an aftermarket stereo? If yes, disconnect it from your car and see if the problem persists. There are so many screwed up wires if these systems are not hooked up properly.

yes i do but i took it out and the problem is still there. ill start the can and itll shut off 5 secconds later. fuse 6 keeps blowing every time i turn on the ignition. the spark plugs are good. its getting enough gas to the injectors. i took a multimeter to the battery read 12 volts and cranked it nothing happened. the ground to my oil pan is good, i havnt checked the others because i dont know where they are. someone please help ive been e30less for 2 weeks and its driving me crazy! the problem started one morning when i had to jumpstart my car. took off down the road and my sterio shut off. then i came to a stoplight and it died. then i jumpstarted it again and barely made it to where i needed to go. gently easing on and off the gas. there is the full story so there are no confusions. plus new alternator and battery. :[
