I'm not calling BS, I'm just curious. Isn't it gonna be slightly faster? I don't see how it would be the same if you are getting more power.

Yes, the 0-60 time of the 318iS is improved by a couple seconds...

and no, you would be surprized how nill the difference is in WOT acceleration. Not much room for improvement there over factory tuning.

Part throttle, and passing are improved through.

well a lot of time is saved by not having to stop at like 55 shift to 3rd then accelerate to 60.

while there is definite horsepower gains, i doubt actual times would be affected by more an a half second, if that.

Nick, try tenths of a second instead.

well didnt bmw quote like 9.5 or 10? i bet i could do it in like 8

and when having to shift sooner the car will loose a tad bit of speed in the shift and will have to accelerate low in the powerband to 60

Yea, everybody's b25's run 15 sec quarter miles... I can do it in 12.8 seconds. Easy. Without a chip. I'm a better driver than them.

The big improvement on a 318is w/the chip is shifting from 1st to 2nd, since that gearbox has a wide gap between those gears (3.83 to 2.02, vs 3.7 to 2.2 for an m20)...so taking it to 7000 in 1st keeps from bogging it when you hit 2nd. i'd say it improves the time by a half second or more, but it really doesn't matter anyways. the 325i will already be in 3rd and pulling away

Did you install an F150 gearbox in your car?
