ok..so my car is starting to annoy me

my car was running perfectly fine before it got cold...now thats its cold outside its acting ummm bad...ok heres a slight list of problems that came up the first night it got about 20º

i start it up and its idle is very very lopey(sp? lol) anywhere from 2,000 rpms to 500rpms sometimes it felt like it was going to stall...also as soon as it got cold my valves got rediculously loud....also heres a problem i will try to explain but its kinda tough

when im cruising in lets say 4th i'll let off the gas and even though my foot is completely off the gas it feels and sounds as though my foot is still barely touching the pedal enough for the exhuast to burble(eh) kinda like the throttle body is still open its a very new problem that ive not encountered before even last winter ..

and also as soon as it got cold my rear lights have been acting messed up first my drivers side rear running light burnt out(bulb) then my drivers side rear blinker stopped working(bulb is not blown) and now my check panel has Brake lights constantly lit up even though i hit the check button...so my car is acting weird and im not liking it....

i am using 15-50 synthetic...could this be the cause of some problems? too thick?..

i did adjust my valves once before less then 5k miles ago but im a noob..anyways my valves have never been this loud before...hopefully a valve adjustment will take care of them but im still worried bout my car..a 1,300 mile trip is coming in 2 weeks....any help is greatly appreciated..and hopefully me and scott can figure something out tomorrow when i go over to his garage

I'd definitely drop to a lower weight oil for the winter.

but im only going to be here for 2 more weeks then im moving to florida for a year and a half
