    Suspension questions??(strange noise)

When i first got my cab i changed the wheels on it, and ever since then the rear shock mounts make alot of annoying noise. They dont seem to be loose or anything. But i dont know what to do. New shock mounts?

I was planning on doing light suspension mods when summer comes. m3 spings and sparco bar. thats probably it for suspension for now. I was planning on changing the mounts anyways and i was wondering what the deal with the e36 shock mounts is??
is it a direct swap? does any Fab. have to be done or is it straight foward??Will this make it stiff that i would feel it or are they just stronger??
    thanks for your help

What noises are you hearing? Shock mounts are usually a knocking sound. Go with e46 mounts while you're at it instead. All u do is remove the trunk lining and get the wrenching. You can do it all within 30mins.

i dont think there's anything to gain with new e36 rsms over new e30 ones. i would stick it out and get some alluminum rsms just for some peace of mind.

it sounded at first like my tires were rubbing, but i looked and there is sooo much space back there. no way the tires are rubing. but when i push the car down like from the rear bumper it will make that sound. however when rolling and not accelerating it wont make the noise. its very annoying, especailly when the radio doesnt work!!

the car was not making this sound before i jacked it up, the second i put it back down it started.
the car has 87,000 miles and i dont know if they were changed before or if they are the original. thats why i planed on changing them anyway.

does the alluminum shockmounts really make any difference or they just last a lot longer.

How old are the shocks on this car? Perhaps they are blown, jounce the car in the rear, does it continue to bounce a couple times, or is it solid?

look all around the wheels from every angle and see if there is something rubbing or hitting or loose somewhere.

the shocks see to be good, car doesnt bounce at all. ill be changing back to bottle caps soon so ill let you know if that helps, but im positive that my other wheels are not toughing anything, there is alot of room
