    Starter not doing anything

So i went to start my car for the first time today, turned the key and nothing happened. Accessories work, i can hear the ICV buzzing, but when you turn the key all the way to start it.....nothing. No tick, no nothing.

For reference this is a 1984 325e chassis and starter now with a 1989 325i motor and harness in it.

So i have the three prong harness and a two prong starter. I have the large red and black wires connected to the one stud and the larger of the two separate wires on the spade connector above the large stud. The smallest ring connector is not connected to anything.

Any help would be much appreciated!

UPDATE: have power at the starter 12.6v

Have you checked to see if power is present at the solenoid control lug when the key is turned to start. Also check the ground connection between the engine and chassis on the left side.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Got it figured out. I had the spade connector on the top connection, and it needed to be on the bottom one. Started after a bit of cranking :p
