converting early model to late model rad sensor

okay, so I just swapped a m50 in to my early model eta(84) and i used a late model m42 rad and i want to link the fan to a temp switch in the rad, but the different radiators have different switches. early models have 2 sensors, one for high temps and one for low but the late model only has one.

i need help converting the early model to late model.

i know at least one of the prong on the switch is a ground so thats a start.
can i connect the 2 non ground wires that are from the early model to the 2 non ground wires on the late model sensor?

Since you don't have an engine driven fan, you really want a thermo switch that turns on a bit above the thermostat rating. In this case, with a 88C thermostat in the engine, turning the fan on at 91C would be appropriate. You can use the single or dual thermo switch to accomplish this. But if you use the dual unit you will have to wire it so that either switch turns the on at high. That is because when the high temp (99C) switch closes, the low temp (91C) switch opens.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
