    In Line Fuse Link

I'm replacing my inline fuse link, I noticed it was soldered, is it possible to crimp it? Also is there a compound that could be used VS soldering that will conduct electricity.

    Thanks for your help

My solution to a bad fusible link is to use a lug type 60A fuse between the power point in the engine bay and the small wire from the battery. If the fuse ever needs to be changed again it becomes just a matter for fiddling with a couple of bolts and as a bonus you can see the fuse to tell it it is blown. I prefer a solder splice where the fusible link was, protected by shrink wrap. But a shrink wrapped well made crimp connection will work.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks Jean I like your first idea but I have already cut the old fuse off and just bought a new OEM.
      Thanks again

        Okay.

BTW, it is Jim, not Jean.
