    Fuel Line Lengths

I have a 1991 318i. The fuel line leading from the tank to the fuel filter is badly cracked, as I discovered this morning. It appears that I'm going to have to drop the fuel tank to replace this, so I thought I should go ahead and replace some other lines as well. Does anyone have a rough idea as to about how much fuel line I should purchase to replace ALL of them? I may not do it all at once, but it would be nice to know.

    Thanks,
    -Adam

I bought 5 m from Blunttech and that was enough to replace all the lines.

You should be able to replace that piece of hose w/o dropping the tank. That hose connects to a hard line that runs over the top of the tank.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          Awesome, thanks everyone.
Jim, I thought that would be the case but I can't get ahold of that part of the hose, it's too far in.
Also, in order to replace all the fuel hoses would I need to drop the tank? I would assume so but I have heard otherwise...

I've changed all the hoses before without dropping the tank. Some of them are a bit awkward, but it can be done.
