No reverse lights

I changed that large rubber shifting stopper or seal a while back. Apparently, I cut the wire for the reverse lights. now I can't find it under the car on the transmission. Can I just use any gage wire to reconnect the transmission and have reverse lights work again?

Why the hell would you CUT the wiring?

Sure you can wire it yourself. Or just post a WTB thread for a good reverse light harness.

its just two wires with spade connectors on the end, the only two wires coming off the passenger side of you tranny if you cant see em they may have fell off but they are easy enough to make or buy

Ya i am with this. What part of a boot replace requires cutting of wires?
Im not sure if I recommend you work on your car any further. Next post will be "I changed my oil and it appears I cut the entire harness off the ECU can you guys give me the pin numbers?"

I would like to assume the you just pulled the spades off their connectors. Just plug them back in. If you did nip'n'slit use wire that at least the same size. O and carry a fire exstingusher. If you do it wrong that shit might catch on fire. There are fuel lines down there.

This is r3v. You're going to be ridiculed for doing stupid shit, or what we interpret as stupid shit. Chill out, accidents happen- you could have snipped something much worse on accident, this is minuscule.

...I bought my car without the reverse lights working 8 months ago, doesn't bother me in the least bit, I haven't even attempted to source the problem. I just use my brake lights if I NEED a little extra light (parallel parking mostly)...
