    M20 head question

    my friend is looking into an 84 323. Can the head from a 325 US fit on a euro 323 and work without motifications? The car sounds like it may of been overheated

    Yes it will fit fine. The compression ratio will drop significantly though.

      as long as its a 325 and not an i or later model super eta, you shouldnt encounter a drop in compression ratio either as the heads come from the same casting (the original E21 "200" casting). The 323i head is better flowing though, it has larger inlet ports.
