keys are out and car is still running!!!

so the other day i go to shut my car off and pull my keys out to find my car is still running. so i stall the car out and the dash lights and the check panel lights are still on. it starts and drives well but having to stall it out sucks. is there a way i can wire a switch in just cut power to the lights and ignition? or is there a switch i can just replace? any help would be awesome.

Sounds like your ignition switch is toast, or you may have a wire shorting out in the ignition system.

The problem is either the ignition switch or the tumbler. Pull the switch & tumbler and see which looks to be the problem.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

ill check it out. my only issue is is that i don't know how it is supposed to look lol. but would that cause the dash to get power?

If the ignition switch is the problem, the dash will be on. If it isn't on there is a different problem.
