    sleeving block?

what's the point of getting a block sleeved? I was talking to racetep in N. Hollywood, and they said they can sleeve my block for $600 (inc. parts+labor). what are the advantages to sleeving the block as opposed to just getting a bore and hone on the cylinder for $230?

sleeve the block to allow use of stock or smaller pistons. When you cylinder walls wear out of tollerance you have to buy new larger pistons and have the block bored.
250+900=1150+- or sleeve at your rate for 600 and use your old pistons
